Madhatters Fine Arts Award
Scholarship Description and Qualifications:
The Madhatters, Inc. organization gives up to three $500 scholarships to local high school graduates who are pursuing higher education in a field directly related to the arts. Depending on the number of applicants and the number of recipients, the board often votes to award more than one scholarship.
The applicant must be a senior from one of the following high schools: Bertha-Hewitt, Eagle Valley, Henning, Menahga, New York Mills, Sebeka, Staples-Motley, Verndale, or Wadena-Deer Creek.
The applicant must be planning to be active in the arts after graduating from high school, and must have participated in fine arts activities in school and/or community or other organizations.
Scholarship Process and Selection Procedure:

This needs to be postmarked by April 1.
The applicants will be reviewed by the Madhatters Fine Arts Committee and the award recipient(s) announced at the high school’s award celebration. The recipient will be required to fill out a form and return it after the end of the first semester. The scholarship funds will then be sent jointly to the recipient and the college they are attending at the beginning of their second semester.
